Favorite gift hasn't been given yet, but next week- I'm making my fiance a super hero cape - I can't wait to give it to him"

Sew Mama Sew is having a giveway day and I've joined!
I am giving away 2, 5-inch square packs (42 squares in each) of Moda's Make Life fabric line!

To enter, comment on this post and tell me what the most favorite gift you ever gave was (and it doesn't have to be Christmas or a holiday gift, just any time of the year).

For a bonus entry, add a seperate comment saying you are a follower or have become a follower.

Comments will close at 6pm on Dec. 17 and random.org will draw the winner sometime in the evening. I'll post here and in a brand new post with the winners no later than midnight the 17th.   Oh, and I will ship internationally so all can enter!
Don't forget to leave an email address if you don't have a blog or some other way for me to get back in touch with you. (While I've got my kids convinced I'm psychic, I won't pretend with you. lol)

Good luck and thanks for stopping in.   Click on the link above or the button on my sidebar to see many other fabulous blogs and giveaways. Thank you Sew Mama Sew for hosting such a fun event once again.

Happy Holidays!

I wasn't sure what my favorite gift was until I saw your first comment. I learned to crochet just to make a blanket for my first niece. She loved it to pieces, literally!

Love this giveaway, thanks!

My favourite gift that I gave was a quilt I made for my best friend. As I was putting the blocks together I thought of her and the fun times we have had together. She was very surprised when she opened it.

In grade school we made trivets for our mothers...sewing (of all things) yo-yos around pop bottle lids and attaching them to a wooden base. I made a strawberry and a grape bunch. I loved making the project and was so excited to give them to my mom!

I knitted a baby blanket for close friend, an artist who;s style I very much admire.
I put serious thought into choosing the yarn and and pattern.

She adored it and expressed to me just how much she appreciated both the work and love I had put into the project.

It was when I finished making a sweater for my husband (my first adult size sweater). He was so ecstatic (maybe because our house is so cold?) and wore it for a week and told everyone about it. It was his facebook status! I felt like he really appreciated all the work I put into it (and the love). :-)

My grandfather wanted a scarf "like we wore in the army air corps." All sorts of people went and bought him fancy expensive scarves, none of which suited him.... I drove to Galveston to the (real) Army Surplus Store (Col. Bubbie's), and got him an actual WWII Army Air Corps (that's pre-Air Force) scarf for $5. He wore it non-stop!
