Psst, did you know?

Today is my birthday.

I think I will shamelessly plug for Happy Birthday wishes since I am now, um, what is 2010 minus 1973?

Yeah, I'm 37 today!

Anyway, since I've only received the birthday wishes from friends and extended family via Facebook (gotta love technology), I think I'll bribe you all for them.

You see, I'm going to a quilt shop today. It's my gift to me. Generous of me, isn't it?  While I'm there, I'm going to pick something up for one of you commentors.  It's noon ET on 12/28.  Comments will be open until noon ET on 12/29 (just to give those sleeping in other countries a fair shake right now).

The little something will be a surprise but it's all good, right? It will be something brand new from a quilt store.  Maybe a notion, maybe a yard of fabric... you'll see!

Here's what you've got to do. Wish me a happy birthday. Yep, that's it.

If you want to tell me your favorite birthday celebration for fun, please do. I love hearing great little stories!

Cheers! Beck

  3. Happy Birthday to You! Oh, buy yourself some really great presents! Our family doesn't really do anything for adult birthdays, maybe a small gift or dinner out. My birthday is next month. My sister in law and I are going to a craft expo around that time, so I'm planning to buy myself some good presents for my birthday! Any excuse to fabric shop!

  5. Happy Happy birthday to you!
My roommate and I have a "Birthday Box". We only use it with each other... It's a fully decorated good sized box, and you just put the present in. Small or large. Her b-day is Thursday, and a quilt top is safely tucked inside for her gift. (We're out of town, so I couldn't finish it in time.... )

Have fun at the quilt store!

Happy Birthday Becks. Hope your day is fabulous.

I always buy myself a little something for my birthday. Usually fabric related.

  20. Happy Birthday Beck, and I would have wished you lots of great birthday wishes without the giveaway.
I hope you had a fabulous day.
I don't usually buy myself anything, although as a once in a life time thing, last year for my extra special birthday I bought myself a car.

  21. I think it's great to treat yourself on your birthday. One year I took my grandkids to Build-a-Bear for my birthday. It was so much fun for me to watch them having fun.

    Happy Happy Birthday!

  26. I remember 37. I think I remember 37. Maybe I remember 37...or was it 38? Girl, you are in your prime! I think I felt better from 35 to 45 than any other time in my life. I didn't think it at the time. :) But looking back it was a great time in this woman's life - old enough to be past child bearing but young enough to enjoy the children I had. Old enough to feel at ease in my career but young enough to still move up the ladder. Old enough to look good and young enough to look good. :) Happy Birthday....celebrate you! blessings, marlene

  30. Happy Birthday (a little late)! Hope you enjoyed your day and fabric shopping! My favorite way to spend a birthday would definitely include eating something great, preferably a nice juicy steak or maybe grilled salmon. Then shopping for fabric and maybe at the thrift store. I'm pretty easy to please! Cheers!
